We found ourselves unexpectedly in Gloucester cathedral last week, so I was kicking myself for not bringing a wide angle lens.  Methinks another visit is in order.

Tomb of Edward II

Edward’s stately pose rather belies the stories of his demise. King Edward II reigned as king of England from 1307 to 1327. He was deposed from the throne by his wife and imprisoned. He is reputed to have been murdered by having a red hot poker inserted inside him.
