Spent an afternoon on the Holy Island of Lindisfarne in September sunshine, ostensibly for my Sculpture UK project. I also enjoyed having a good wander around, despite the hoards of marauding tourists taking advantage of the early afternoon opening up of the causeway.  The castle has unfortunately had the builders in for a long time now, so is always clothed in scaffolding.                                                            Starring St Aidan

Colourful tourists we have up here!

Considering the state of the tarpaulin covers on the old upturned boats that are used as sheds, it is easy to see why they have used substitute materials like black plastic, but not so good for photographers looking for atmospheric images of the sheds.
